I am travelling to France on Dec 28 returning Jan 25 but my passport expires March 30. Is this going to be a problem?

Good day,

Short answers are "could be" and "yes" with the added corrollary that you haven't got a great deal of time to resolve the matter.

My suggestion is ( 1) to look at:
http://www.theschengenoffice.com/explained/schengen_visa.html
and contact the nearest French consulate or your embassy in France

(2) if you have a Schengen visa already does it have anything to say on the matter

Allow yourself as much time as possble to resolve your query.
