We would like to take a last minute trip and I dont have a passport yet but my travel companian will have a passport, if I get a direct flight and have other pieces of photo I.D. etc, do i still need a passport to travel from Canada into Mexico? Thanks for any info..

You need a passport for any international travel - even into the US (by plane), other forms of photo ID only work for internal flights and driving across the border. In the UK you can apply for an emergency passport that they will process in one day - maybe Canada offers the same service. Contact passport canada and see if they offer this service. Hope this helps.
